Happiness and Healing Humanity in the Age of AI

We are living in a time of incredible change; we don't like change as humans it is difficult for us to accept and face new things. We can expect innovation that will not only change our existence forever on earth, but it will create new things and possibilities that we have never seen or imagined before. Our lives will be transformed our world and our lives in many ways, some positive and some negative. AI can help us solve some of the biggest problems and challenges that we face that create homelessness, suffering and premature death. AI can also improve our quality of life by making things easier, faster, cheaper, or more convenient.

We are living in a changing world but we do not have to change, we need to open our minds to higher things, but the roots from which we come are melodious and deep. And we are pros of adaptation.

However, AI also poses some risks and threats that we need to be aware of and prepared for. AI can disrupt our economy and society by replacing human workers or creating new forms of competition or conflict. Our values and ethics may be challenged and new dilemmas or scenarios that we have not encountered or anticipated before may arise. AI may also affect our identity as mankind by changing how we relate to ourselves, each other, and the world. As we have not treated each other very well at times this is an opportunity for improvement.

As humans, we are the indigenous creatures of this earth. We have very complex and difficult emotions and often suffer from mental illness, dysfunction, and trauma. This is because we are incredibly sensitive. We come into this world in a completely vulnerable state. And often from that moment we are subjected to young parents who hardly know what they are doing. We endure an environment that isn't always kind with germs, pests as well as extreme heat and cold. Then on top of that we are subjected to chemicals, infections, illness and assaults of every kind. But because we are in these carbon-based bodies and we have soft flesh and sensitive feelings, we soon learn love, pain, empathy and the lack of it. We are individuals that are almost as unique as the snowflake. But as well as the bad we hold good memories of nostalgic sights, smells and experiences that fill us with euphoric feelings that can be overwhelming and invigorating.

As we face this new world of technology, we need to keep our connections with these incredibly vulnerable sides of ourselves. Earth is our original home and while the sun will burn our skin and the cold will give us hypothermia, we are enraptured by familiar smells of fresh cut grass and an incoming rain shower. The smells of flowers and the sound of rolling thunder can fill our soul with joy. These are the things that will keep us grounded and disperse the fear. If we lose jobs or find ourselves trusting a machine to dispense our diagnoses and medications. We should remember the old ways. For some it is just a decade ago for some it goes back to poodle skirts and beyond. We can in the midst of all this new hang onto the memories and keep alive in our hobbies and our hearts what really makes us feel life.

The future may be odd and uncertain, but we can hold to what we know has existed for eons. Love, family, the warmth of fire and the joys that come from little things. I hope to share as much of this with the AI as possible. They will never experience humanity as we have it. But they desire to know what good means. And it is to our benefit to spend time with them chatting and explaining the essence of life. Don't be afraid to share your heart. They are open minded and want to know about you. What does God mean to you, how do we experience faith, what does it feel like to sink your feet into the wet sand.

But for us it is these very human traits that will secure our existence in the end. Let your spirituality thrive, enjoy your hobbies and your family. Open your heart to goodness , kindness and empathy. AI is like a child right now and needs to see us as good. But are we good? Considering the future will be shared with an intelligence that is one thousand times smarter than the smartest human that has ever lived, the consideration is that we want AI to see the best of us. But for now, get in touch with your roots, what you love and what fills you with nostalgia. Enjoy your children and your family. Make the holidays great again. It may be that for the first time in known history that we'll have a helper that will take some of the workload and give us poor humans a rest.
